Around here we’re serving up healthy(ish), wholesome meals made from wild game and ranch-raised meats.
As a busy mama of two, being in the kitchen is my favorite way to get creative and have fun with my kids. I developed a deep passion for healthy and wholesome cooking after college, and it has been a constant in the busy years of life following, including getting married and having kids!
What you’ll see here is a reflection of how we eat regularly – utilizing what is in our freezer and incorporating it into our everyday diet. If we’re not cooking with game harvested by my husband, we’re cooking with meat that my in-laws have raised on their ranch. It’s rare for us to buy meat at the grocery store these days!
I decided to start The Harvested Kitchen to share my approach to incorporating wild game into healthy(ish) meals, along with everything I am exploring, experimenting with, and learning in the realm of cooking.
